Easter!
We started Easter off with a potluck dinner at the park with a bunch of friends mostly from church! Andin made out very well in the "kiddie" easter egg hunt. The older kids waited until dark and had a hunt with flash lights! Just before we were ready to go THE SPRINKLERS CAME ON! It was a mad dash to get all the eggs before they got wet! We all had a blast and finished out the night with a chaotic war of marshmellow spitballs!

Sunday Fun!
These were actually taken a week ago. I just wanted to show off Shayla's new dress from Grandma Kay and her new shoes. Shayla loves these shoes so much! When I bought them for her and pulled them out of the bag she squealed and insisted on having them right at that moment, took them from me and held them to her chest. Now she refuses to take them off. Even when I get her pajamas on at night they have to go right back on!

Fun at the Fair!
We were at our local carnival for 12 hours on Saturday and we had a blast (although Cam ended up being called off to work for about 4 hours and had to leave me there with all the kids by myself but we made it and Cam returned just in time to see Motley Crue and the firworks)! Cameron was lucky enough to get free VIP tickets through his work so we really took advantage of it!
Poor Andin couldn't go on the bee ride or any other ride for that matter and he just broke my heart with his big tears. I was relieved when they said he could go on the "horsie" ride if I went with him! He loved it and kept wanting to go again and again!

This parade was actually quite good! The theme was China and there were alot of really cool chinese acrobats and floats.
Even Shayla enjoyed it!
It was a really hot day...in the upper 80's with about 90% humidity but luckily it was over cast and when the sun hid behind the clouds it was quite enjoyable. We tried to make the kids lay on this blanket (shaded by a big guy to our right) to keep them from getting burned!
Ryler was just a little too short to ride by himself and luckily they let me go with him!
We also watched a really cool dolphin show, tiger show, chinese acrobats and later on a pitiful display of fireworks! We laughed because in Utah the whole city would be spread out with their blankets but I think we were the only ones paying attention to the fireworks and they were really short and far and few in between each one. The finale lasted about 5 seconds! It was still worth waiting for to see the kids enjoy it! What a day!

Shayla's 1st Birthday!
I spent 7 hours over the course of 1 week to prepare and make this fondant cake! (My latest obsession) I was very proud of how it turned out and it was very yummy! Cameron says Shayla is way too spoiled but I think she deserves it! She is such a sweet heart but sure knows how to put us in our place when she has something to say and that's okay cause she is going to need to have that attitude growing up with 3 older brothers! We can't believe she is already 1!
